If you're looking for a beach close to Larkin Pond, we recommend A B Carpenters Beach; Thirty Acre Pond is a great lake nearby. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Matunuck Shore Break, and if you like skiing, you're in luck;  
   Yawgoo Valley is relatively near.
Larkin Pond truly is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Take a hike on the Clayhead Nature Trail, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Laurel Lane Country Club is nearby. On a pleasant day you can explore Genesee Swamp, a swamp close to Larkin Pond; from Larkin Pond you get a brilliant vista of Mount Pleasant. Chipuxet River is a stunning stream that is worth taking a look at; a forest nearby
 
               is Genesee Woods.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Larkin Pond has to offer, you can camp at Silver Lakes Park; Budget Inn-N. Kingstown NR Newport is a great site to get some rest. A spree to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area) is a magnificent choice, and a fine beach nearby is Willow Dell Beach.
The high level of rainfall makes Larkin Pond a quite wet spot; November is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. You ought to visit Knowles Point when you're here at Larkin Pond, and you can stay the night at Wawaloam Campground. Summertime at Larkin Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is a tad colder of course, mostly in the 50's.
