    The beauty of King Pond is reason enough to stop by. West Greenwich Super 8 Motel is a tremendous location to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Walkabout Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Quinebaug River, and at King Pond you can catch a glimpse of Big Hill. Why not camp at Whippoorwill Hill Family Campground while you're here at King Pond, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western West Greenwich  
   Inn is a fine choice.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at King Pond. The panoramas at Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor will blow your mind, and as expected Bear Tree Brook flows through this area. King Pond is a quite wet place commonly with lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly November, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture.
 
               The warmest time of the year at King Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at King Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Yawgoo Valley, and there are plenty of people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River here at King Pond. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at King Pond. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Coventry Pines Country Club, and don't leave King Pond without first going for a hike along the Munyan Trail.
There's whitewater on Clear and Branch for all you adrenaline kick people; why not go to Mill Pond Dam if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Colwell's Campground is a brilliant site to camp, and there are other places here than King Pond, for example Barden Reservoir. Not far from King Pond, you'll stumble on Westconnaug Reservoir which is a scenic lake; going for a hike on the Ross Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
