Just can't get enough of Keech Pond. Whitewater paddling is great on Quinebaug River; Camp Ponagansett is a delightful local campground. Keech Pond is a wet place that gets a great deal of rain; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Keech Pond reach the 80's while overnight lows are       generally in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Keech Pond all through the winter regularly plunge into the 10's. Good hiking is available along the Ross Trail; Clear and Branch has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Keech Pond is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Oakleaf Family Campground is a fine location to camp nearby, and don't miss out on a trip to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley                  National Heritage Corridor if you're here. Keech Pond Dam is not far at all from Keech Pond; a lake close by is Spear Pond. From Keech Pond you obtain a splendid vista of Oak Hill; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Yawgoo Valley if you're here. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Keech Pond. Go for a hike on the Walkabout Trail; Foster Country Club is a magnificent golf course nearby.
