The beauty of Indian Lake is reason enough to stop by. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Stay the night at Long Cove Camp Sites and Marina, and don't leave Indian Lake without first checking out Pettaquamscutt Rock. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area), and a spree to Indian Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Gin Spring. This lake is so wonderful. | | be without some skiing at Yawgoo Valley, and if you get bored of Indian Lake you could also check out nearby Saugatucket Pond. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Indian Lake.  | 16 miles away Echo is a nice pond. I go all the time and always catch something. The biggest i caught was a 6.5 pound large mouth on a watermelon colored lizard. Good place for bass....Pond is mostly made up of kivers and mabey a few striped bass nothing orn thsn 2.5 pounds. Takes about an hour, fish are extremly smart and picky. You are better off with brickyard which has fish up to 40 pounds and trout...Pond has very nice sized bass in it, they are biting all year, the only thing that stinks is the trolling motor only rule after memorial day weekend... |
