The beauty of Indian Lake is reason enough to stop by. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Stay the night at Long Cove Camp Sites and Marina, and don't leave Indian Lake without first checking out Pettaquamscutt Rock. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area), and a spree to Indian Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Gin Spring. This lake is so wonderful.
What would winter

be without some skiing at Yawgoo Valley, and if you get bored of Indian Lake you could also check out nearby Saugatucket Pond. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Indian Lake. Go for a hike on the Clayhead Nature Trail, and Indian Lake is not the only place close by, Indian Run Reservoir is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Fisherman's Memorial State Park is a perfect campground nearby, and Blackstone
River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a very glorious spot to have a look at.
A lot of rain falls at Indian Lake; November is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. You ought to take a look at Pettaquamscutt Cove when you're here at Indian Lake, and unsurprisingly Crooked Brook flows through this neighborhood. The warmest time of the year at Indian Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Indian Lake temperatures drop to the 10's.
There's whitewater on Matunuck Shore Break for all you adrenaline junkies; a day at pretty Dunes Club Beach close to Indian Lake is a fine thing to do. While you're here at Indian Lake you can play some golf at Rose Hill Golf Club, and you can spend the day on the beach at Conochet Club Beach. If you need a place to stay Budget Inn-N. Kingstown NR Newport is a good choice, and there are plenty of people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River here.
On a gorgeous day you get a panorama of McSparran Hill from Indian Lake, and Indian Lake Dam is a pretty spot, beyond doubt worth taking a look at.

Echo Lake
16 miles away
Echo is a nice pond. I go all the time and always catch something. The biggest i caught was a 6.5 pound large mouth on a watermelon colored lizard. Good place for bass....Pond is mostly made up of kivers and mabey a few striped bass nothing orn thsn 2.5 pounds.  Takes about an hour, fish are extremly smart and picky.  You are better off with brickyard which has fish up to 40 pounds and trout...Pond has very nice sized bass in it, they are biting all year, the only thing that stinks is the trolling motor only rule after memorial day weekend...
