Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Clear and Branch, and Washington Pond Upper Dam is a scenic place. Huron Pond regularly gets a great deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November, and February meanwhile is the driest month. There is a great hiking trail close to Huron Pond called the Ross Trail; the friendly people of Providence-New Bedford-Fall       River like to hang out nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Pawtuxet River is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and while you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at East Greenwich Golf Course. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Matunuck Shore Break, and from Huron Pond you get a nice vista of Boston Hill. Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a good place close to Huron Pond, and if you need a place to stay Residence                  Inn Providence Coventry is a pleasant choice. A quick spree to Mishnock River right next door to Huron Pond is a splendid idea, and do stop by Little Huron Pond, it's a pretty lake. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Huron Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Colwell's Campground is a tremendous location to camp, and going for a hike on the Walkabout Trail is always a great adventure. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Huron Pond. Don't miss out on a great swamp; Mishnock Swamp is right here at Huron Pond, and Fairfield Inn & Suites Coventry is a delightful spot to get some rest. During the summertime months here at Huron Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Huron Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
