Hawkins Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Good hiking is available along the Munyan Trail; Hawkins Pond is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Buck Hill Family Campground is a fine location to camp nearby. Do go to Clarkville Pond in the neighborhood of Hawkins Pond, it's a lovely lake; don't leave Hawkins Pond without first going for a hike along the Walkabout Trail. | | Hawkins Pond, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct is a perfect choice. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. The Inn at Woodstock Hill is a tremendous location to get some rest; getting to Keach Brook from Hawkins Pond is trouble-free. Peck Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out; if you're hooked on cool geologic features try Hemlock Ledges. This lake is so wonderful. | |

At Hawkins Pond you always meet someone from Willimantic; George Washington Memorial State Forest is worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Bowdish Lake Camping Area is a good campground nearby; if you come at the right time of
year, Quinebaug River offers some glorious whitewater. That right there is a load already, but it goes on; Hawkins Pond has it all. There are delightful locations to explore along the Border Trail, and do pay a visit to Quinebaug
& Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor while you're here at Hawkins Pond. Not far from Hawkins Pond you acquire some good water scenery at Hawkins Pond Dam; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Clear and
Branch. Hawkins Pond ordinarily gets a large amount of rainfall; November is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. All through the long summer days at Hawkins Pond temperatures are regularly
in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Hawkins Pond.
