There's always Georgiaville Pond Dam to go to next to Harris Pond, and the peak of Rocky Hill can be seen from Harris Pond. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Do explore Georgiaville Pond near Harris Pond, it's a delightful lake; a great beach nearby is Georgiaville Beach. A nice nearby hotel is Quality Inn Smithfield, and if you come at the right time of year, Clear and Branch offers some perfect whitewater. If you're a golfer then a good close by course

The cheerful people of Providence-New Bedford-Fall River like to hang out close by, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Yawgoo Valley. Harris Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. | |

After a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Smithfield is a nice place to spend a night or two; Circle CG Farm Campground is a great campground nearby. High temperatures at Harris Pond all through the summertime are in the 80's, and
all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Harris Pond temperatures sink to the 10's. Going for a hike on
the Walkabout Trail is always a wonderful adventure; beaches are delightful and Mountaindale Beach is no exception. Harris Brook is a good local stream, and Capron Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. If you came for
an overnight stay Holiday Acres Camping Resort is a wonderful location to camp, and nearby you find the Ross Trail which is a nice hiking trail. Harris Pond really is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. A splendid swamp next to Harris Pond is Town Line Swamp, and you can go for a hike on the Munyan Trail.
