Gorton Pond is always a pleasure to visit. High temperatures at Gorton Pond through the long summer days are in the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Gorton Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. time at Gorton Pond is painless. For you golfers we recommend close by Midville Country Club, and at Gorton Pond you can see Bald Hill. This lake is so wonderful. No need to travel far to pop by attention-grabbing stuff like Drum
Rock, and the slopes of Yawgoo Valley are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Matunuck Shore Break in a kayak; if you want to hit the beach, Goddard Memorial State Park Beach is around
here. The high level of precipitation makes Gorton Pond a relatively wet place; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month is February. Pawtuxet River is a tremendous lake in the vicinity of Gorton Pond,
and if you came to camp Westwood Ymca is a magnificent spot to do that. You don’t have to go far from Gorton Pond to catch a glimpse of the water at Gorton Pond Dam, and lots of folks from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River come here.
Gorton Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Holiday Acres Camping Resort is a delightful local campground, and do schedule some time to stop at Apponaug Cove if you have a chance.
