In Rhode Island there are many beautiful lakes, Gates Pond is one of them. If the weather is perfect here at Gates Pond, you can go for a hike along the Clayhead Nature Trail, and there are plenty of people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River here at Gates Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing awaits you at Yawgoo Valley, and from Gates Pond you get a great view of Bailey Hill. Any time is a good time at Gates Pond if you fancy the outdoors.

at Gates Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. The high level of precipitation makes Gates Pond a quite wet spot; November is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is February.
