Enjoy a round of golf at Rose Hill Golf Club not far from Fresh Pond, and Matunuck Shore Break is a delightful whitewater spot close by. Fresh Pond is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout November; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Asa Pond, and Fresh Pond is perfect       enough to spend more than a day at, Worden's Pond Family Campgrounds is a perfect local campground. Fresh Pond sits in the shade of the The Hills, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River here. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Fresh Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Budget Inn-N. Kingstown NR Newport, and on a wonderful day you can visit A B Carpenters Beach. High temperatures at Fresh Pond through                  the warm days of summer are in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Fresh Pond drop into the 10's. Time spent at Matunuck Beach in the vicinity of Fresh Pond is always fine, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Fresh Pond; Clayhead Nature Trail is a great local trail. A short trip to Dead Man Spring is always worthwhile, and the summit of Blackberry Hill can be made out from Fresh Pond. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area) is a great location to spend a night or two; do schedule some time to stop by Deep Hole if you have a chance. The skiing at Yawgoo Valley is fine; if you came to camp Long Cove Camp Sites and Marina is a perfect place to do that.
