The beauty of Ell Pond is reason enough to stop by. At Ell Pond during the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's; night lows all through the wintertime for Ell Pond tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. out Shingle Mill Pond, it's a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Fenner Hill Country Club.

Pond Dam; Quinebaug River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Browning Mill Pond Area Beach, and you can see Brightman Hill from Ell Pond. After a long day outdoors Budget Inn-Near Foxwoods is a fine location to spend a night or two, and Greenwood Hill Family Camp Ground is a great campground here.
