In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Quinebaug River; if you need a location to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Stonington is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Fenner Hill Country Club, and you get a good view of Brightman Hill from here. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Ell Pond, you'll       discover Yawgoog Pond which is a beautiful lake, and time spent at Browning Mill Pond Area Beach is always wonderful. During the summertime at Ell Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Ell Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ell Pond a wet location; the wettest month of the year is generally                  November, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Matunuck Shore Break; after a long day outdoors Budget Inn-Near Foxwoods is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Yawgoog Pond Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and there's perfect hiking along the Narragansett Trail. Lakes? Sure, Long Pond is in the vicinity, and if you came to camp Greenwood Hill Family Camp Ground is a good site to do that.
