Bear Swamp is a swamp near Edwards Pond, and you get a tremendous view of Exeter Hill from here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Head up to Yawgoo Valley and strap some skis to your feet, and after a long day outdoors Residence Inn Providence Coventry is a great site to spend a night or two. For the period of the warm months,       highs mostly are in the 80's at Edwards Pond. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Edwards Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. Man, is there loads of entertaining things to do in close proximity to Edwards Pond. Do stop by Hallville Pond in the neighborhood of Edwards Pond, it's a wonderful lake, and Exeter Country Club is a good golf course                  nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth a visit, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River here. Edwards Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. While you're here at Edwards Pond, you could also pop by scenic Dawley Pond; you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Clayhead Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Edwards Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Silver Lakes Park is a pleasant local campground; there's whitewater on Matunuck Shore Break for all you thrill seekers.
