Lots of people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River come to Edgewood Lake; why not a little side visit to Mashapaug Brook. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Green Jacket Shoal is always fun; Cunliff Pond Dam is charming. Be careful       coming to Edgewood Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Dry warm beds await you at State House Inns, and Bold Point is not far at all. A lake close by is Elm Lake; Silver Spring Golf Course is a splendid golf course nearby. A lot of precipitation falls at Edgewood Lake; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Radisson Hotel Providence Harbor                  is a fine choice, and if you have the time, Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth taking a look at. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Edgewood Lake. Swamps don’t sound that wonderful but Cranberry Bog right next door to Edgewood Lake is quite wonderful, and if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend Edgewood Beach. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Edgewood Lake while night lows are mostly in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Edgewood Lake descend into the 10's. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Yawgoo Valley is near Edgewood Lake, and a good beach nearby is Sandy Beach. There are some nice whitewater spots on Clear and Branch; the skiing at Blue Hills is brilliant.
