It has large mouth bass, pike, pickeral, and several varieties of pan fish. I have been fishing this lake for 45 years and it still produces some real fine fish. Greg P: Echo is a nice pond. I go all the time and always catch something. The biggest i caught was a 6.5 pound large mouth on a watermelon colored lizard. Good place for bass. Paradise Motel is a splendid campground nearby, and there are other places here than Echo Lake, for example Brickyard Pond. After a long day outdoors Knights Inn Seekonk MA is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. Lakes? Sure, Volpes Pond is in the       vicinity. High temperatures at Echo Lake during the summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Echo Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Annawomscutt Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to, and beaches are glorious and Barrington Beach is no exception. You'll wish for more hours                  in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Echo Lake. Really good skiing awaits you at Yawgoo Valley. This lake is so wonderful. Melville Campground Recreation Area is a perfect local campground; at Echo Lake you can distinguish Primrose Hill. If you're here at Echo Lake, checking out Allen Ledge is a must; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Blue Hills. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Echo Lake. Allen Neck is in close proximity to Echo Lake and is a pleasant location to check out, and Shangri La Motel is a great place to get some rest. If you're here at Echo Lake and you like golf, you can have a look at Firefly Golf Course, and a day at Longmeadow Beach is time well spent.
