If you are in this part of Rhode Island make sure to pay a visit to Easton Pond. Easton Pond is a wet location that gets a good deal of precipitation; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July. Some of the water close by flows, like Bailey Brook, and do schedule some time to go to Easton Bay if you have a chance. Through the long summer days highs here at Easton Pond reach the 80's. major characteristics of the surroundings of Easton Pond is Beacon Hill; the scenery at Easton Pond South Dam is wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Matunuck Shore Break, and if you're here and you like golf, you can have
a look at Newport National Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Newport Beach Hotel and Suites is a great choice, and Atlantic Beach is reasonably close by if you're in a beach type of mood. The fine
folks of Providence-New Bedford-Fall River like to hang out nearby, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites Atlantic Beach Hotel is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Just can't get enough of Easton Pond. There's
so much to do here at Easton Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Paradise Motel is a delightful place for that, and Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a very fine place to have a look at. So much enjoyable
stuff to do at Easton Pond, so little time. Do take a look at Nelson Pond close to Easton Pond, it's a wonderful lake, and if you want to stop at some out of the ordinary stuff, stop at The Bluff.

 | 12 miles away Echo is a nice pond. I go all the time and always catch something. The biggest i caught was a 6.5 pound large mouth on a watermelon colored lizard. Good place for bass....Pond is mostly made up of kivers and mabey a few striped bass nothing orn thsn 2.5 pounds. Takes about an hour, fish are extremly smart and picky. You are better off with brickyard which has fish up to 40 pounds and trout...Pond has very nice sized bass in it, they are biting all year, the only thing that stinks is the trolling motor only rule after memorial day weekend... |
