What a spot this is for outdoors people. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Matunuck Shore Break, and why not camp at Timber Creek RV Resort if you're here at Doctor Lewis Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Doctor Lewis Pond; Narragansett Trail is a glorious local       trail, and you can hit the beach if you want, Atlantic Beach is practically right here. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Westerly Town Beach, and enjoy a round of golf at Winnapaug Country Club. Doctor Lewis Pond commonly gets lots of rain; through November this area sees the most rain, and June is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Sandy Shore Motel and Apts, and Doctor Lewis Pond is not the only spot nearby, Long                  Pond is a nearby lake. If you get bored of Doctor Lewis Pond, you could also stop by close by Winnapaug Pond, and a day on the slopes of Yawgoo Valley is just what you need. High temperatures at Doctor Lewis Pond throughout the warm months are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Doctor Lewis Pond nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
