Man, is there loads of exciting things to do in the neighborhood of Deep Pond. Deep Pond is not the only location nearby, Grassy Pond is a nearby lake, and after a long day outdoors Budget Inn-Near Foxwoods is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. You get a splendid view of Dye Hill from Deep Pond, and if       you're looking for a good trip, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is reasonably near. A pleasant spot for whitewater paddling near Deep Pond is Matunuck Shore Break, and if you need a location to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Stonington is a great choice. Going for a hike along the Narragansett Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Yawgoo Valley                  since you're here. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great globe it would be. If you're a golfer then a tremendous nearby course is Meadow Brook Golf Course, obviously you could also stop at Mount Tom Club Wildlife Marsh since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Deep Pond is not far at all from Willimantic; a perfect place to camp here at Deep Pond is Oak Embers Campground. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Deep Pond you can take a hike along the Border Trail, and Log House Brook is in the vicinity of Deep Pond and is always a diversion to stop at. The warmest time of the year at Deep Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Deep Pond temperatures dip to the 10's. At Mount Tom Club Wildlife Marsh Dam near Deep Pond there are some interesting things to see, and camping is available at Greenwood Hill Family Camp Ground.
