Winnapaug Country Club is a good golf course nearby; have a look at nearby Weekapaug Breachway. A beautiful lake like Quonochontaug Pond near Dam Pond is a tremendous location to visit; if you came for an overnight stay Holly Tree Camper Park is a nice place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. During your stay at Dam Pond do check out close by Fenway Beach; Matunuck       Shore Break is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Clayhead Nature Trail, and one of the best things about this site is its proximity to Weekapaug Inn Beach. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Dam Pond has it all. After a long day outdoors Sandy Shore Motel and Apts is a fine spot to spend a night or two, and camping is available at Timber Creek RV Resort. If you like skiing, you're in luck;                  Yawgoo Valley is next to Dam Pond, and here at Dam Pond you can see Rabbit Hill. You'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Doctor Lewis Pond near Dam Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Budget Inn-Near Foxwoods. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. Take a hike on the Narragansett Trail; Quahaug Point is very near and is a delightful site to explore. Summertime highs at Dam Pond typically tend to be in the 80's, and the night is a little chillier of course, typically in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Dam Pond are in the 10's.
