What a nice lake Cook Pond is. High temperatures at Cook Pond throughout the summertime months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Cook Pond. The snow is wonderful at Blue Hills, and a great place to visit is Borden Flats. Montaup Country Club is a golf course close to Cook Pond, and Cook Pond is a great place to visit for

| | more than one day, Melville Campground Recreation Area is a great place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Crab Pond, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Quiquechan River. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Cook Pond. Be careful coming to Cook Pond, you might not ever want to return home again. forget to pop by Battleship Cove since you're here. If you get bored of Cook Pond, you could also pop by close by Cook Pond, and Super 8 Motel - Somerset/Fall River Area is a fine site to get some rest. The top of Townsend Hill
is easily distinguished from Cook Pond; there are plenty of people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River here at Cook Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Westport Camping Grounds is a nice campground nearby, and swamps are exciting
locations and Pocasset Cedar Swamp close to Cook Pond is no exception. On a good day it's a glorious idea to spend the day at Brayton Point Beach, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Somerset. The high level of precipitation
makes Cook Pond a rather wet place; November is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture.

 | 11 miles away Echo is a nice pond. I go all the time and always catch something. The biggest i caught was a 6.5 pound large mouth on a watermelon colored lizard. Good place for bass....Pond is mostly made up of kivers and mabey a few striped bass nothing orn thsn 2.5 pounds. Takes about an hour, fish are extremly smart and picky. You are better off with brickyard which has fish up to 40 pounds and trout...Pond has very nice sized bass in it, they are biting all year, the only thing that stinks is the trolling motor only rule after memorial day weekend... |
