This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Crystal Lake Golf Club, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Walkabout Trail. So many exciting things to do here at Cherry Valley Pond, too splendid to be true. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Yawgoo Valley; dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Smithfield. Cherry Valley Pond Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check       out, and if you've had enough of Cherry Valley Pond, Keech Pond is close by. Steers Beach is near Cherry Valley Pond and is a wonderful beach to stop by, needless to say you could also pop by Lake Aldersgate while you're here; it's not far at all. If you go for the outdoors, you'll go for Cherry Valley Pond. All our national parks are splendid places to explore, and Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception, and if you don't mind                  getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Quinebaug River. Cherry Valley Pond frequently gets a good deal of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Mosquitohawk Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out, and Chopmist Hill can be distinguished from Cherry Valley Pond. Camping is available at Camp Ponagansett; if you like swamps you're in luck, Brush Meadow Swamp is right nearby. If you came for an overnight stay Echo Lake Campground is a great location to camp, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Ross Trail. Lots of folks from Willimantic come to Cherry Valley Pond, and Comfort Suites Smithfield is a magnificent spot to get some rest. A glorious spot for whitewater paddling near Cherry Valley Pond is Clear and Branch, and going for a hike on the Munyan Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. All through the summer months here at Cherry Valley Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.
