You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Yawgoo Valley, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Clayhead Nature Trail. A fine spot to camp here at Chapman Pond is Ashaway RV Resort, and if the weather is pretty, you obtain a good sight of Chase Hill from Chapman Pond. All through the months of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Chapman Pond with overnight lows in the       60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Chapman Pond night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. A day at pretty Misquamicut State Beach right next door to Chapman Pond is a glorious thing to do, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Norwich-New London here. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Chapman Pond has it all. You can run the rapids of Matunuck Shore Break in the neighborhood                  of Chapman Pond; there's some flowing water close by, Ashaway River is a stream you can go to during your stay. Chapman Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is June. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Winnapaug Country Club, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Narragansett Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Budget Inn-Near Foxwoods, and time spent at Atlantic Beach is always great. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. A lake nearby is Long Pond. Why not stop by Potter Hill Dam while you're here, and if you get bored of Chapman Pond you could also stop by close by Doctor Lewis Pond.
