     Rhode Island has many beautiful lakes and Carr Pond is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area) is a good place to spend a night or two, and if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Plum Point Beach. Carr Pond is a wet location that gets much rainfall; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This is a popular  
   location for people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River.
At Carr Pond during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Carr Pond during the wintertime usually drop into the 10's. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Matunuck Shore Break, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Clayhead Nature Trail. You just
 
               can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area near Carr Pond has to offer. Nothing beats kicking back at Plum Beach, and if you haven’t been to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, you should schedule some time for it while you're here.
You can never get enough of the good skiing at Yawgoo Valley, and since you're here, you could also have a look at pretty Kettle Hole Pond. Why not take a look at Bissel Cove also while you're here; if you came for an overnight stay Fisherman's Memorial State Park is a pleasant location to camp. Carr Pond in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. From Carr Pond you get a pleasant vista of Barber Heights, and you simply ought to stop at Hannah Robinson Rock since you're here at Carr Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a gorgeous lake called Secret Lake near Carr Pond, and since you're here and you like golf, you can visit North Kingstown Municipal Golf Course. Wawaloam Campground is a good campground nearby, and Carr Pond Dam is an interesting thing to check out. Looking for some flowing water? Try Annaquatucket River, and if you need a site to stay Budget Inn-N. Kingstown NR Newport is a fine choice.
