Why not stop by Carr Pond if you're passing through these parts. Whitewater paddling is great on Matunuck Shore Break, and one of the best things about this spot is its proximity to Plum Point Beach. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Carr Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Wawaloam Campground is a pleasant site for that, and enjoy a round of golf at North Kingstown Municipal Golf Course.

Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a great local destination here at Carr Pond, and at Carr Pond you always meet someone from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River. The high level of precipitation makes Carr Pond a rather wet place; most of the rain falls through November while February is typically the driest month.

There's always Carr Pond Dam to have a look at in the neighborhood of Carr Pond; you can distinguish Barber Heights from Carr Pond. Bissel Cove is not far from Carr Pond at all; hey, Annaquatucket River is a good local stream. Lakes?

For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Carr Pond highs are regularly in the 80's. When the
night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 30's while Carr Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. On a fine day at Carr Pond
you can take a hike along the Clayhead Nature Trail, and you can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Yawgoo Valley. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff right next door to Carr Pond. If you came to camp Long Cove Camp Sites and Marina is a great place to do that; dry warm beds await you at Coachman Motor Inn.
