This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Yawgoo Valley are so inviting nobody can resist; if you've had enough of Barber Pond, Thirty Acre Pond is close by. At Barber Pond through the summertime highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The winter brings highs down       to the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Barber Pond. Why not go to a swamp like Arrow Swamp if you're here at Barber Pond; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area). And that's not all you can do here at Barber Pond. You can run the rapids of Matunuck Shore Break near Barber Pond, and Barber Pond is not the only place close by, Yawgoo Pond is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Providence-New                  Bedford-Fall River here, and do pay a visit to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor while you're here at Barber Pond. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Clayhead Nature Trail, and Wawaloam Campground is a splendid campground nearby. Hampton Inn South Kingstown Newport Area is a tremendous place to get some rest. Barber Pond is a wet spot that gets a large amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and February on the other hand is the driest.
