This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Quinebaug River in a kayak, and if you want to hit the beach, Browning Mill Pond Area Beach is in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is good at Yawgoo Valley; you can stay the night at Whispering Pines Campground. Near Ashville Pond you find a golf course called Fenner Hill       Country Club. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are beyond doubt plentiful here at Ashville Pond. Lakes are great; Blue Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Ashville Pond; paddling on Matunuck Shore Break is so much fun. Ashville Pond is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Greenwood Hill Family Camp Ground is a perfect location to camp nearby, and dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn and Suites Stonington. Log House Brook flows                  through this area; close by you locate the Narragansett Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Ashville Pond, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Ashville Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Ashville Pond gets a large amount of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture.
