Many people like to go to Asa Pond. This is a popular location for people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River, and hey, Browns Brook is a delightful local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Spend the day on the beach at Galilee Beach Club Beach since you're here at Asa Pond, and a brilliant location to camp here at Asa Pond is Fisherman's Memorial State Park.

| | trail, and on a wonderful day you get a pleasant sight of Kingston Hill from Asa Pond. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Asa Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Wawaloam Campground is a perfect local campground, and there are other places here than Asa Pond, for example Kettle Hole Pond. Pickerel Point is in close proximity to Asa Pond and is a fine spot to go to, and get covered with water paddling on Matunuck Shore Break.

That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Asa Pond has it all. A nice nearby hotel is Budget Inn-N. Kingstown NR Newport; a visit to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is recommended. Asa Pond is a wet
location that gets a great deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls through November, and the driest of the months is February. One of the best things about Asa Pond is its proximity to Salty Brine State Beach. Lakes? Sure, Lake
Canonchet is in close proximity.
During the summer months highs here at Asa Pond get into the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's; nighttime lows in
the 10's for Asa Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Asa Pond and you like golf, you can stop at Rose Hill Golf Club, and hey, Gotta ski right? Yawgoo Valley is a brilliant place to do that. Peace Dale Pond Dam is charming
and it's next to Asa Pond, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area) is a fine choice.
