and if you're looking for a good visit, Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is rather near. Asa Pond is a spot with many visitors from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything
Asa Pond has to offer, you can camp at Fisherman's Memorial State Park. Spend the day on the beach at Salty Brine State Beach if you're here at Asa Pond, and a visit to Pickerel Point is always a great idea. Asa Pond gets a great
deal of water; the month with most of the rain is November, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is delightful at Yawgoo Valley; if the weather is beautiful, you get a great view of Kingston Hill from Asa Pond.

 | 18 miles away Echo is a nice pond. I go all the time and always catch something. The biggest i caught was a 6.5 pound large mouth on a watermelon colored lizard. Good place for bass....Pond is mostly made up of kivers and mabey a few striped bass nothing orn thsn 2.5 pounds. Takes about an hour, fish are extremly smart and picky. You are better off with brickyard which has fish up to 40 pounds and trout...Pond has very nice sized bass in it, they are biting all year, the only thing that stinks is the trolling motor only rule after memorial day weekend... |
