If you are in Washington county it's always a good idea to stop by Alton Pond. So many enjoyable things near Alton Pond, simply remarkable. Good hiking is available along the Clayhead Nature Trail, and while here here do visit close by East Beach. One of the best things about Alton Pond is its proximity to Burlingame State Park Beach, and you're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Plain Pond is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. | | of wonderful Coon Hill is available from Alton Pond, and don't leave Alton Pond without first going for a hike along the Narragansett Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Farm House is a tremendous site to get some rest; float down the rapids of Matunuck Shore Break in a kayak. Go for a hike on the Narragansett Trail; Canonchet Brook is near Alton Pond and is always a delight to explore. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Alton Pond.

Yawgoo Valley is a delightful local ski area, and if you need a place to stay Stagecoach House is a tremendous choice. Alton Pond is a rather wet place mostly with a large amount of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain
while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Camping is available at Frontier Family Camper Park; Alton Pond Dam is a delightful location, unquestionably worth going to.
High temperatures at Alton Pond during
the summer are in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's while Alton Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. An afternoon playing
golf at Fenner Hill Country Club is always a joy; a good location to camp here at Alton Pond is Holly Tree Camper Park.
