Going for a hike on the Shoe Line Trail is always a great adventure; a lake close by is Laguna de Puerto Nuevo. This lake is so wonderful. Ensenada Brenas is not far from Laguna Mata Redonda at all, and Playa de Sardinera is quite nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. On a great day it's a magnificent idea to spend the day at Playa de los Tocones, and Laguna Mata Redonda is not the       only place close by, Laguna Rica is a close by lake. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be.
