Good hiking is available along the Vereda Caracol, and nearby you hit upon Quebrada Irizarry which is a wonderful location to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Laguna Joyuda without first going for a hike along the Vereda Descanso; nearby you hit upon Punta Arenas. Some of the water close by flows, like Rio Hondo, and Cerro Conde Avila is scenic and can       be distinguished from here. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Laguna Joyuda. If you're looking for a beach near Laguna Joyuda, we recommend Playa Laguna, and at Laguna Joyuda you always meet someone from Mayagüez. The governing highlight in the region is the Cordillera Sabana Alta. High temperatures at Laguna Joyuda during the warm days of summer are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. For                  the duration of the winter the highs are generally in the 80's with temperatures at Laguna Joyuda dipping down into the 60's during winter nights. Go for a hike on the Vereda Helechal, and you can run the rapids of Anasco River. A lake nearby is Laguna Bocanasilla, and there's whitewater on Guabo River for all you adrenaline kick people. Laguna Atolladero is a nearby lake that you could check out, and nothing beats kicking back at Playa Punta Arenas.
