I was born in Matrullas in 1953. I left the Island in 1970 in seach of a better life. When I returned to the Island for a visit I was in awe of the beauty of Lago de Matrullas. It took me to grow up to appreciate the beauty of the lake and its surroundings. Que Linda,la Lago de Matrullas!

If you are in this part of Puerto Rico make sure to pay a visit to Lago de Matrullas. Lago de Matrullas is a pretty wet place typically with a lot of rain; most of the rain falls through September, and February on the other hand is the driest. Lots of people from Jayuya come to Lago de Matrullas; on a fine day you can take a hike along the Vereda Alcantarilla. This lake is so wonderful. Through the summer at Lago de Matrullas highs are mostly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 80's while Lago de Matrullas overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 60's. | |
