If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lago Guayo. If you come at the right time of year, Areciebo River offers some good whitewater, and great hiking is available along the Cobanas Trail. If you go for the outdoors, you'll adore Lago Guayo. Lago Guayo is a reasonably wet place usually with lots of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is January.

| | get yourself into a kayak and hit Guabo River. For the period of the summertime months at Lago Guayo temperatures are generally in the 90's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 80's while Lago Guayo nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. People from Adjuntas love to come to Lago Guayo; you can go for a hike on the Vereda Helechal.
Some of the water nearby flows, like Rio Cidra, and going for a hike on the Vereda Descanso is always a nice adventure. | |
