It just takes your breath away. I lived in Utuado when I was a teen, and enjoyed every minute of it. The peace and the quiet is very welcoming. The stillness of it all, is just one of the wonderful reasons why Puerto Rico...lo hace mejor!

In Puerto Rico there are many beautiful lakes, Lago Caonillas is one of them. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lago Caonillas a wet location; the month with most of the rain is May while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Areciebo River is a pleasant whitewater spot right next door to Lago Caonillas, and the Vereda Alcantarilla is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. | | Lago Caonillas is a location with many visitors from Jayuya.
You could also stop by Lago Dos Bocas if you're here at Lago Caonillas; it's close by, and Quebrada Felipa is a tremendous spot to spend some time. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lago Caonillas. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 80's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Lago Caonillas tend to be in the 60's.
