Good hiking is available along the Verada Piedra Blanca; a visit to nearby Punta del Boqueron is very relaxing. Boca de La Zanja is a rather wet place regularly with a large amount of precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Boca de La Zanja; Vereda de las Cotorras is a good local trail. At Boca de La Zanja you can see Cerro       San Jose, and if you want a little side trip, try Quebrada Placeres. You just should love Boca de La Zanja. Don't forget to take a pleasant little spree to Rio Culebrinas, and Playa Espinar is relatively nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. You'll meet a lot of folks from Aguadilla-Isabela-San Sebastián here, and glide down the rapids of Anasco River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. There's glorious hiking along the Vereda Caracol, and on a fine                  day it's a great idea to spend the day at Balneario Municipal de Aguda. Through the summer here at Boca de La Zanja, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 70's.
