It is in town and safe.  Beautiful view of the pond and island which has ducks and geese all year around.  Also there is a lovely bridge. The pavillion and children's playground are clean and so are the toilet facilities. There is also a ballfield for baseball and soccer. Love it there. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Shawnee Mountain; whitewater paddling is magnificent on Brodhead Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop by Lower Dam Sambo Creek if you're here, and you can observe Fox Hill from Zacharias Pond. This place is unbeatable, just look at all the exciting things to do near Zacharias Pond. There's glorious hiking along       the Burley Inlet Trail, and if you have time, Delaware National Scenic River is a national park worth checking out. A splendid place to camp here at Zacharias Pond is Mountain Vista Campground, and you're sure to encounter some great folks from East Stroudsburg here. This lake is so wonderful. Any time is a good time at Zacharias Pond if you love the outdoors. Foxtown Gap is a brilliant location to have a look at close by, and Days Inn East Stroudsburg is                  a fine place to get some rest. Good hiking is available along the Camelback Trail, and why not camp at Timothy Lake Resort since you're here at Zacharias Pond. Paddling on Pocono Creek is so much fun, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Stroudsburg. Summer at Zacharias Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Zacharias Pond. Zacharias Pond is a reasonably wet place mostly with a great deal of rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. Lenape Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and needless to say McMichael Creek flows through this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful.
