Many people like to go to Witmers Lake. A day on the slopes of Mount Airy Lodge is just what you need, and going for a hike on the Lakeside Trail is always a delightful adventure. This lake is so wonderful. The Indian Trail is a great hiking trail near Witmers Lake; while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby East Stroudsburg. | | to Witmer Dam if you're here at Witmers Lake, and why not head up to Camelback and strap some skis to your feet.
Witmers Lake gets lots of water; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. After a long day outdoors Flower Field Motel And Cottages is a magnificent site to spend a night or two, and get covered with water paddling on Pocono Creek. National Heritage Corridor is no exception, and float down the rapids of Martins Creek in a kayak.
Camping is available at Arrowhead Campground, and Wind Gap is in the vicinity, and is a splendid spot. There is a nice hiking trail
next to Witmers Lake called the Camelback Trail, and hey, Spring Run is a tremendous local stream. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do in close proximity to Witmers Lake.

Wind Gap is a good spot to get some rest, and camping at The Camp At East Lake is always a delightful experience. During the days of summer at Witmers Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures
plunge down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Witmers Lake temperatures fall to the 10's.
