If the weather is great here at Williams Lake, you can go for a hike along the Scar Run Trail; do have a look at Roscoe Burgess Dam since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Towanda is a magnificent choice,       and there are some good whitewater spots on Schrader Creek. Near Williams Lake you come across the Middle Hill Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and Best Western Grand Victorian Inn is a great place to get some rest. Williams Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you come at the right time of year, Elk Creek                  offers some tremendous whitewater; Williams Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Buttermilk Falls Campground is a great location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Through the summertime, highs mostly are in the 80's at Williams Lake; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Williams Lake are in the 10's.
