     Pennsylvania has many beautiful lakes and White Deer Lake is one of them. The slopes of Ski Big Bear are so inviting nobody can resist, and White Deer Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Camp Watonka is a great location to camp nearby. There's some flowing water close by, Gates Run is a stream you can take a look at during your stay, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Blooming Grove Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
 
   While you're here at White Deer Lake you can play some golf at Cricket Hill Golf Club, and after a long day outdoors The Lodge at Woodloch is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at White Deer Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything White Deer Lake has to offer, you can camp at Wilsonville Recreation Area, and there are other places here than White Deer Lake, for example Fourmile  
               Pond. White Deer Lake gets a great deal of water; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February.
This lake is so wonderful. Lackawaxen River is a great whitewater spot next to White Deer Lake; Tanglwood is a delightful local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Delaware National Scenic River is a brilliant site in the vicinity of White Deer Lake; going for a hike on the White Deer Trail is always a magnificent adventure. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at White Deer Lake. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shohola Creek; Kleinhans Lake is a nice lake close by.
High Falls is always fun to check out; there are glorious locations to look at along the East Branch Bruce Lake Trail. Throughout the months of summer at White Deer Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 30's while White Deer Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. Dry warm beds await you at The Settlers Inn, and at Westbrook Estate Dam in close proximity to White Deer Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see.
A trip to Gates Meadow revives the soul, and at White Deer Lake you can see Gates Hill.

Wilsonville is fun and enjoyable for you and your family. You can camp, boat, or fish. Everything is well maintained and enjoyable. Wilsonville has been enjoyable for the past five years that I 've been going there. I look to have another great year at Wilsonville again this year!...I found Wilsonville to be a nice family campground. The facilities are well maintained, and they offer both wooded and camper sights. They even have some walk-in sights near the lake.
One of the best points is that they have launches and docks for boating on beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack. We have gone for the past 2 years and plan on doing so again this year....

Shohola Creek
Raft??? First off, I cant see raft going through box canyon. It might be possible, but I wouldn't want to see someone I care about be the first. After the box, downstream of the route 6 bridge, you would need a lot of rain, I mean an awful lot of rain to get through the flat water section. Personally, I do some tough runs (CL4+) and I'm not sure I'd wanna be there with that much water. With plenty of water, medium level, we were scraping a lot in the flat water section. Also, in the canyon, if someone gets hurt, they are in for a bad day. This is evident by looking at a typo map or looking down from route three bridge. ''outside the state you might find the rivers here are more forgiving''. My travel for White Water is limited: NY, NJ, MA, CT, WV, MD, VT, NC. Never been out west. With my limited experience the above states and PA and 5 years kayaking including winter, I have no clue what the above quote means. Ratings CL1-5 (6 being a rating meaning it might not be runable), while far from perfect is a pretty good indication of water difficulty. Don't paddle here unless you know wha...
