This place, Westcolang Pond, it just has so much outdoors fun stuff. What would winter be without some skiing at Tanglwood, and a golf course nearby is Cricket Hill Golf Club. Westcolang Pond ordinarily gets much precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and

the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Why not pop by Westcolang Lake Dam since you're here, and you can go for a hike on the Schiff Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. There are wonderful locations to look at along the Crawford Trail, and you'll find a picturesque lake called Forest Lake. Why not take a look at close by Grassy Swamp Brook if you're here at Westcolang Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Lake Greeley Camp is a great place to camp. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Westcolang Pond. A tour to Delaware National Scenic River is recommended.
You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Big Bear since you're here, and after a long day outdoors The Lodge at Woodloch is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. Why not camp at Camp Shohola while you're here at Westcolang Pond; in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shohola Creek.

Raft??? First off, I cant see raft going through box canyon. It might be possible, but I wouldn't want to see someone I care about be the first. After the box, downstream of the route 6 bridge, you would need a lot of rain, I mean an awful lot of rain to get through the flat water section. Personally, I do some tough runs (CL4+) and I'm not sure I'd wanna be there with that much water. With plenty of water, medium level, we were scraping a lot in the flat water section. Also, in the canyon, if someone gets hurt, they are in for a bad day. This is evident by looking at a typo map or looking down from route three bridge. ''outside the state you might find the rivers here are more forgiving''. My travel for White Water is limited: NY, NJ, MA, CT, WV, MD, VT, NC. Never been out west. With my limited experience the above states and PA and 5 years kayaking including winter, I have no clue what the above quote means. Ratings CL1-5 (6 being a rating meaning it might not be runable), while far from perfect is a pretty good indication of water difficulty. Don't paddle here unless you know wha...
