Catoctin Mountain Park is a very great place to visit in the vicinity of Waynesboro Reservoir, and get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Antietam Creek - East Branch. During the warm months highs here at Waynesboro Reservoir reach the 80's, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, generally in the 60's. | | magnificent day at Waynesboro Reservoir you can take a hike along the Sandy Ridge Trail, and after a long day outdoors Scottish Inns & Suites Fayetteville is a delightful location to spend a night or two. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Ski Liberty, and camping is available at Colonels Crk Campground. You could also go to Comet Lake while you're here at Waynesboro Reservoir; it's nearby, and since you're here you can take a hike along | |

you can play some golf at Penn National Golf Club; a good nearby hotel is Carroll Valley Resort. The vista of Briar Mountain from Waynesboro Reservoir is picturesque, and you can run the rapids of Owens Creek. You think that's
enough? Just getting warmed up. Hayes Run is a wonderful local stream, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Chambersburg. You just must love Waynesboro Reservoir. Why not camp at William Houck Campground
if you're here at Waynesboro Reservoir, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Green Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Waynesboro Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Waynesboro Reservoir is a nearby lake, and you don’t have to go far from Waynesboro Reservoir to observe the water at Waynesboro Dam.
