This lake is so wonderful. Econo Lodge Mifflintown is a magnificent site to get some rest, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Elk Creek. Very fine water scenery is available at Middle Creek Dam near Walker Lake, and at Walker Lake you always meet someone from Selinsgrove. This is a wonderful area for people who like lakes. Mill Run Lake is a lake in the vicinity. If you came for an overnight stay Mountain Lake Campground       is a glorious site to camp; don't leave Walker Lake without first going for a hike along the Cold Spring Trail. After a long day outdoors BUDGET INN is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Pa-638 Reservoir. So many entertaining things to do here at Walker Lake, too glorious to be true. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater                  paddling on White Deer Creek; going for a hike on the Horseshoe Bend Trail is always a perfect adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Gray Squirrel Campsites, and some close by water includes Kern Run. All the water falling down from the sky makes Walker Lake a wet spot; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. Walker Lake is in the vicinity of Schrader Gap which is beyond doubt worth taking a look at, and there are glorious locations to look at along the Summit Trail. Through the months of summer here at Walker Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
