This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Winter Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Lock Haven for sure. During the months of                  summer at Upper Castanea Reservoir highs are typically in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Upper Castanea Reservoir temperatures dip to the 10's.
