All through the summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Union Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Union Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. Union Lake gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest       month. Callicoon Creek - East Branch is a wonderful whitewater spot in the vicinity of Union Lake, and if you need a place to stay The Settlers Inn is a delightful choice. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Union Lake, too delightful to be true. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Tone; if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Callicoon Creek - North Branch. Hit the slopes at Ski Big                  Bear in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Soaring Eagle Campground while you're here at Union Lake, needless to say you could also explore Little Mud Pond if you're here; it's not far at all.
