Very glorious water scenery is available at Locust Creek Dam right next door to Tuscarora Lake; unsurprisingly Locust Creek flows through this neighborhood. From a precipitation point of view Tuscarora Lake is a relatively normal place; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Rosemount Camping       Resort is a great spot to camp, and you can go for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. After a long day outdoors Residence Inn Hazleton is a perfect site to spend a night or two; if you come at the right time of year, Black Creek offers some good whitewater. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Tuscarora Lake get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's, and winter                  nights come with lows in the 10's to Tuscarora Lake. Don't leave Tuscarora Lake without first going for a hike along the Pinnacle Trail, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Pottsville. Blue Rocks Family Campground is a wonderful local campground; tremendous hiking is available along the Valley Rim Trail. This lake is so wonderful. White Birch Golf Course is a good golf course nearby; there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Nescopeck Creek. Man, is there lots of fun stuff to do in the vicinity of Tuscarora Lake.
