Any time is a great time at Tuscarora Lake if you like the outdoors. Float down the rapids of Nescopeck Creek in a kayak, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Valley Rim Trail. High temperatures at Tuscarora Lake through the long summer days are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 30's; overnight lows at Tuscarora       Lake all through the wintertime regularly plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Lakeside Park Reservoir; if you're stopping by from Pottsville, you won't be the only one.
