A visit to Turkey Pond is always a good idea. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Turkey Pond. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Turkey Pond drop into the 10's. Turkey Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Council Cup Campground is a great local campground, of course you could also go to Najaka Pond since

| | you're here; it's not far at all. A swamp like Black Creek Swamp next to Turkey Pond has lots of attention-grabbing things to see; if you've had enough of Turkey Pond, Lily Lake is close by. If you came to camp Moyers Grove Campground and RV is a wonderful location to do that, and Comfort Inn West Hazleton is a good spot to get some rest. Just can't get enough of Turkey Pond. Near Turkey Pond you find the Old Bulldozer Road Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. | |
