Tipton Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Altoona is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Clearfield Creek is so much fun, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Rainbow Trail. Not far from Tipton Reservoir you acquire some great water scenery at Tipton Dam, and hey, Loup Run is a tremendous local stream.

The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Tipton Reservoir. Lots of people from Altoona come to Tipton Reservoir, and Tipton Reservoir is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Wright's Orchard Station Campground is a tremendous local campground. Just can't get enough of Tipton Reservoir. The Indian Trail is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Tipton Reservoir; camping at Zimmie's
Campground is always a tremendous experience. From a precipitation point of view Tipton Reservoir is a pretty common spot; the wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most; January meanwhile is the
driest month. Hampton Inn Altoona is a tremendous spot to get some rest, and if you're a golfer then a good close by course is Tipton Golf Course & Driving Range.
