    Beautiful Tinkwig Lake has much to offer visitors. Tinkwig Lake is a wet site that gets much precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout August, and the driest month is February. Tinkwig Dam is worth visiting if you're here, and don't forget to take a pleasant little trip to Decker Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A great location to camp here at Tinkwig Lake is Camp Watonka; if you come at the right time of year, Shohola Creek offers some delightful  
   whitewater.
Camping is available at Wilsonville Recreation Area; going for a hike on the Blooming Grove Trail is always a pleasant adventure. All the outdoors exciting things close to Tinkwig Lake will keep you coming back over and over. If you need a place to stay The Lodge at Woodloch is a perfect choice, and the skiing at Tanglwood is brilliant. Ski Big Bear is a pleasant local ski area, and you can go for a hike on the Crawford Trail.
The Settlers
 
               Inn is a delightful place to get some rest; for you golfers we recommend close by Cricket Hill Golf Club. At Tinkwig Lake throughout the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Tinkwig Lake. Having a nice time at Tinkwig Lake is simple.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lackawaxen River; nearby you locate the White Deer Trail which is a nice hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Do explore Lake Wallenpaupack near Tinkwig Lake, it's a pretty lake, and don't miss out on a journey to Delaware National Scenic River since you're here.
