If you haven’t been to Delaware National Scenic River, you should schedule some time for it if you're here, and First Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Third Pond called the Kinney Trail; Alpine Mountain is a brilliant local ski area. Summertime highs at Third Pond frequently       tend to be in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Third Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Ken's woods Campgrounds, and soar down the rapids of Hornbeck's Creek in a kayak. If you adore the outdoors, you'll go for Third Pond. The skiing at Shawnee Mountain is good, and if you came for an overnight                  stay Outdoor World Timothy Lake is a magnificent place to camp. While you're here at Third Pond, you could also stop by pretty Second Pond; if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Bald Barren Trail. A good close by hotel is Fernwood Hotel and Resort, and get drenched paddling on Bush Kill Creek. Third Pond mostly gets a lot of rain; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is February.
