Tailing Pond sits in the shade of the Furnace Hills, and you can observe       Furnace Hills from Tailing Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Conewago Creek - East; camping is available at Outdoor World. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Tailing Pond reach the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Tailing Pond.
