There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Synder Pond. Get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Lehigh River, and going for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is always a great adventure. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood       you can always visit close by Alvern Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Lizard Creek. If you need a spot to stay Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Allentown-Fogelsville is a great choice, and not far from Synder Pond you'll come across Sand Spring Lake which is a stunning lake. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Kutztown Allentown, and Olde Homestead Golf Club is a golf course close by. If you came to camp Pine                  Hill RV Park is a great spot to do that, and there are magnificent places to explore along the Valley Rim Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Blue Mountain while you're here, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Reading. Be careful coming to Synder Pond, you might not ever want to return back home again. The high level of precipitation makes Synder Pond a pretty wet spot; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Synder Pond while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Synder Pond are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
