Sylvania Lake is unbeatable! Stay the night at Lake Greeley Camp. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. A day on the slopes of Tanglwood is just what you need; going for a hike on the Bald Hill Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is The Lodge at Woodloch; swamps like Bear Swamp are       fun to explore. There's so much to do here at Sylvania Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Shohola is a pleasant place for that; Shohola Marsh Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could explore. There's some flowing water close by, Balliard Creek is a stream you can visit while you're here; get dripping wet paddling on Shohola Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Delaware National Scenic River is recommended, and there is a delightful                  hiking trail nearby called the Steam Mill Trail. Roth Dam is pretty and it's in the neighborhood of Sylvania Lake, and a lake nearby is York Lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Big Bear is right next door to Sylvania Lake, and soar down the rapids of Lackawaxen River in a kayak. The Lodge at Woodloch is a great spot to get some rest, and close by you stumble on the Maple Brook Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. Sylvania Lake is a good location of common rain; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Sylvania Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
