Summertime highs at Sweeny Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 20's with temperatures at Sweeny Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Sweeny Pond has it all.       The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Montage Mountain, and Highland Camp Ground is a delightful campground nearby. Sweeny Pond gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is February. While you're here at Sweeny Pond you can take a hike along the Pinnacle Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Spring Brook offers some splendid whitewater. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. This lake is so wonderful.
